ANTHONY SASONGKO -
There hasn't been much snow this year, but that didn't stop Kennedy students from enjoying the annual Snowflake Festival! The event was held on Thursday, March 5th from 2:35-3:30 pm in the cafeteria and the gym. Students ejoyed food, drinks, hot cocoa, vibrant music, and basketball. Mr. George provided entertainment. Face painting, arts and crafts were available as well at the festival.
The tradition has been occurring for a long time. According to Kim Doherty, head of the PTA, the Snowflake festival is part of a series of events. Mr. Hurrie and the PTA came up with the idea years ago to have a community-building event once a quarter. For instance, the first festival was the Ice Cream Social; the second, Harvest Hoedown; third, the Snowflake festival; and the final event is the Post-MCAS celebration.
The Kennedy PTA sponsors and runs the event, and would like to thank all of those who volunteered.
