Coronavirus and How to Stop It

Coronavirus is a dangerous outbreak that originated in China, but quickly spread all over the world. There have been approximately 225,252 cases worldwide, 9,521 cases in the USA, and 256 cases in just Massachusetts (as of March 19, 2020). This is definitely a dangerous virus, but if we all stick to guidelines set by doctors around the world, we can stop this virus. Here are some things that you can do to help prevent coronavirus.

  1. If you feel a cough coming, make sure to cough into your elbow. Coughing on someone is an easy way to spread germs.

  2. If you feel sick, stay home! If you carry your germs to somewhere with many people and you’re sick, you’ll just be coughing and sneezing and spewing out germs to everyone around you.

  3. Make sure not to touch your face. Basically everywhere you touch, you get germs on your hands. And if you suck your thumb, pick your nose, chew your nails, etc., when you have those germs on your hands, they immediately get into your system.

If you make sure to do these things in your daily life, your chances of catching coronavirus are lowered. If we all commit, we can stop this virus in its tracks!
